Compass Summit is an annual, multi-disciplinary training available to all community partners committed to collaboration, education, and collective action against human trafficking. In 2024, field experts shared their knowledge and experience on the topics of Sextortion, Street Outreach and Trauma-Informed Care, Illicit Massage Parlor Human Trafficking Dynamics, Polyvagal Theory Informed Support for Trauma Surivors, and A Law Enforcement Case Review.
Annual Safety Compass Gala
The First Annual Safety Compass Gala took place in September, 2023 and was a night to remember! Everyone who attended let their inner 80’s rocker come out withthe theme of “Don’t Stop Believing!” All proceeds raised go to our survivor services fund to cover emergency hotel rooms, relocation costs, and other aspects of survivors safety plans as they navigate their journey to safety. Thank you to all our sponsors and attendees for all your help in uplifting and empowering youth right here in our communities who deserve support and respect as they create futures for themselves free of violence and exploitation.
The Fanciest 5K Ever is an annual, recreational, fun, community race where runners fight human trafficking by running in formal wear! Dresses, tuxedos, bow ties, top hats, tiaras, all the glitz and glam… but on the run for a great cause! Got an old prom dress or ridiculously frilly suit you'd love to strut around in again? Fancy yourself up!
All of the money raised goes directly to Safety Compass, and is used to serve sex-trafficking survivors in the mid-Willamette Valley region of OR.

The Fanciest 5k. Ever.
The Fanciest 5K Ever is a recreational, fun, community race were runners fight human trafficking by running in formal wear! Fancy yourself up! All of the money raised goes directly to Safety Compass, a local organization that provides free, confidential advocacy for sex-trafficking survivors in the mid-Willamette Valley region of OR.
Runners have the opportunity to become fundraisers and set individual or team goals for donations raised! We've got great prizes for the top fundraisers!
2021 will be a In- Person AND VIRTUAL event, so runners can join us in Salem at the West Salem Courthouse Fitness for all the fancy festivities and run the course through Wallace Marine Park OR they can register and have a two week window to complete their fancy run and submit their time and photos virtually from wherever they are in the world! Prizes for top finishers, top fundraisers and fanciest costumes will be awarded at the end of the two week window.
