Safety Compass offers ongoing victim advocacy for survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and sex trafficking, including crisis response, safety planning, law enforcement interview accompaniment, resource referrals, court accompaniment, case management, and mental health referrals.
We are committed to trauma-informed and survivor-informed care. Our services are hope-filled and strengths-based. We offer support for any survivor of the sex industry regardless of whether they are still in "the life" or not, regardless of what type of exploitation they experienced. We do not discriminate based on sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, color, ethnicity, religion or creed, disability/difference, age, military or immigration status.
Safety Compass points hopefully toward the continuum of services available in the community for survivors of sex trafficking. We are partnered with an extensive array of agencies to refer survivors to comprehensive, wrap-around care. We are committed to providing this within the community, for the health and healing of both the individual and the community as a whole.
COVID-19 Impact: Our physical offices are closed until further notice to do our part to reduce in-person contact and to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus. We know this pandemic and its accompanying economic, housing, and health hardships have increased the vulnerability of those impacted by commercial sexual exploitation. We are still providing our services, but are doing so remotely in most cases, using phone, email, text, and video conference. We continue to provide in-person crisis response at the request of law enforcement, Juvenile Intake Centers, or DHS.
